The Role & Project:

 

As a proud Thiess company, MACA will provide specialist civil construction services at a greenfield copper mine in North West Queensland, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People.

 

MACA is seeking a Project Administrator to join our team working on this exciting new project on a 2:1 roster.

 

Locals in North West Queensland, including Members of the Kalkadoon community and other First Nations people, are highly encouraged to apply for this role on a BIBO basis. Depending on the successful candidate and the candidate’s location, the role can also be offered on a FIFO roster from either Townsville or Brisbane with accommodation on site.

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Assist management with day-to-day administration tasks. 
  • Work closely with Managers to ensure hours and records are kept up to date. 
  • Maintain daily production data entry, fuel, equipment defects, hours and supervisor data. 
  • Raise purchase requisitions as required. 
  • Maintain files as required (relating to specific site access and personnel details). 
  • Assisting in the mobilisation and demobilisation of personnel and machinery to site. 
  • Book flights and accommodation. 
  • Compile statistic reports for management. 
  • Ensure site rosters and schedules are up to date. 
  • Collate HR, medical, FFW and client paperwork. 
  • Coordinate supplies - delivery to and from sites. 
  • File training and HR records for all employees, visitors and contractors. 
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of ECA work practices.  
  • Commitment, respect and compliance to safety, health, environment and cultural heritage policies, ‘zero harm’ objective, Fitness For Work policy and ECA’s vision and core values. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess: 

 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a site-based Administration role in a mining/civil/bulk earthworks construction environment. 
  • Current Australian driver’s licence. 
  • White Card. 
  • National Police Clearance. 
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Effective organisation and planning skills. 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
